Now that I am just about done with my brake swap it's time for me to think about changing that 276 gear that's in my 7 1/4 SBP axle. I do not really hot rod my Barracuda around but I would like a little taller gear say a 323 or 355 and would also like a sure grip. Are there still companies out there that sell gears for these small axles? I like the fact that I can cruise on the x-way at 80 MPH and when I first built this car that was my plan, but now I would like to be able to get out of the hole a little better and maybe even squawk my tires every now and then.
Thanks
Bob

Most replies are probably going to tell you to ditch the 7 1/4 rear, but I kept mine in my car too. Contact Cass at Dr. Diff. They might be able to hook you up.

Is there anyone out there that might have a sure grip and a 323 or 355 set up for a 7 1/4 rear end?
As far as I can tell, nobody is making 3.23's aftermarket(?) for whatever reason, but there are plenty of the 3.55,3.91,4.11, sets out there...partially thanks to the use
of the 7.25 in the frt of the Dakota 4x4 for a handful of years....... there are some OE sets out there..even new so check it out. Post in the wanted forum & go to the
mechanical parts for sale and the wheels/tires suspension for sale & use the search function.
