Im looking for the linkage in the engine bay from the steering column to the transmission to change the gears 1965 plymouth valiant i dont really know what it looks like the car never came with it

Unless it is a standard shift.
OP: Which trans do you have?
Good morning Charrlie_S, it's been awhile to ask you a question :) Can you tell me is the standard three speed on a 66 Valiant is the same as a 65 sir ?

No the 65 has a flange on the output shaft, where the driveshaft connects. A 66 has a slip spline. The 65 trans does not have a syncro on 1st gear. Later trans does (not sure what year that started).

Ok, but is the shifting linkage from my three on the tree work for this member, I have all my shifting linkage still on my 66 Valiant and I need to remove it for my auto transplant, If I am reading this right he is needing the linkage I have ? Thank you again @Charrlie_S

I don't know for sure, as I have never seen the 66 standard linkage, but I think so. I would have to check the parts books. Can do later today, don't have time, now.

I have an entire 3 spd linkage. Zbar is bad. But I have everything. 65-66s will work. Same linkages.
