So to all of the "I'm a big proponent of the 2 amendment" guys. What "well REGULATED Militia" do you belong to? You know the first part of the Second. Says right there Regulate the militia, there fore the weapons in the militia. And yes I own weapons, but we need to look at the WHOLE amendment.

Trick question, "right"?

The Bill of Rights are all for individual rights.
Listing that particular, but not only reason , makes perfect sense in that the individual MUST be allowed a means by which to protect the "group" (state) as necessary.
