I have a TransGo shift kit in my 727 (technically a 46RH), I don't remember what one but it still operates as an automatic transmission. When I have the shifter in Drive under Wide-Open-Throttle the 1-2 up-shift is perfect right at 5000 rpm, the 2-3 up-shift is early about 4500-4600 rpm. What do I need to change to delay the 2-3 up-shift?

So when I'm at the track what I have done in the past was put the shifter into 2nd gear. SO that the 1-2 up-shift was done automatically right at 5000 rpm where I want it. Then I would bump the shifter into 3rd gear to shift into 3rd gear at 5000 rpm. This works but I think it would be more consistent if I can get the transmission to shift correctly into 3rd gear when the shifter is in drive.

Also one other thing if the above isn't enough lol. When I bump the shifter into 3rd gear I would need to do that around 4600 rpm then by the time the engine got to 5000 rpm it would shift into 3rd, so it takes that long for it to complete the shift when manually shifting it, is there anyway to make that quicker?

Try A&A's Split Shift Correction Kit. Part Number AASVS-1. Call Rick & tell him what you are looking for. You wont be disappointed.

I've used A&A's split shift correction springs too and they work well but if I'm not mistaken he only has them that change the 1-2 shift rpm. You most likely need a stiffer 2-3 shift valve spring and unless sourced from another valve body I don't think you'll find one. The only other possibility is finding a shim to fit behind the 2-3 spring but it'd be guesswork as to how thick it'd need to be to raise the shift 400 rpm. Making the 2-3 shift more consistent when manual shifting is nearly impossible to attain with a factory VB

So the delay with manual shifting is just something you have to live with, with a stock valve body, there is no easy way to make the shifts happen quicker?

I guess I could put in a softer 1-2 shift spring so that it would shift at the same rpm as the 2-3 shift at 4500 - 4600 rpm and put in lighter governor weights and that should move the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift points up an equal amount, correct?

Yes but it's a guessing game with springs. I don't know any formula to tell you how much lighter 1-2 spring you'd need. If it were me and I was just guessing I'd try a shim under the 2-3 spring first. That way you don't have to pull the extension housing off also to change governor parts. It's still a guess but less work

Correct, but do one at a time. Start with the governor weight first to get the 2-3 shift where you want it. I have used the A&A weights, they are right on the money.

Your lazy 2-3 shift concerns me. You might want to get that worked out as well. Was the trans rebuilt or just a shift kit purt in?

Get a governor with your needed shift points. I have one in each of my vehicles and both upshifts are very close. My other vehicle has the Trans Go TF2 kit and it raised the shift points about 300 rpm over the governor specs. My 2-3 up shifts are crisp when manually shifting so something may be up with yours
