hey everyone my name is Shaun. I’m 33 years old. Car fanatic. Last year I bought a brand new 2016 Durango r/t and love it. 3 days ago I bought a 65 Dodge Dart 270 for 900 bucks and drove it home. Automatic with the 225. No rust. It does have a few dings on the front fenders and the trunk. Will the fenders from a 63 or 64 as well as the trunk from either year bolt on with no issues? I will post some pictures soon. Excited to be a part of the mopar family

Oh I will. Super excited for it. I have a good deal on 2 fenders and a trunk but not sure if the earlier fenders and trunk will fit. Supposed to go get them in the morning but if I can’t find out if they fit, I’ll have to pass

Ask lots of questions. Lots of smart people out here to help you thru the hard stuff.

Welcome to the MOPAR world I took my driving test on my Dad's '64 Dart GT /6 225 Loved the push button tranny. Good luck with the project

No the early fenders won't work. They will bolt up, only if you have the fenders, hood, bumper and lower valance. 65 was a one off year as was the 66. The car you're going to look at is a 64. The trunk lid is also different than your 65. I'm hunting 65 parts myself

Unless there is significant rust rot I would call a PDR guy to fix a few dents. Or take it to a body shop. That's only if you don't know how to work a hammer and dolly! Sweet ride though!

I feel like I got a great deal. With the internet and inflated prices, to get this car and drive it home for 900 bucks I thought was a steal. I’ve seen others, even 4 doors in the 3000 dollar range

Nice man! Welcome from crispy Sonoma!
Check out www.bigblockdart.com too.

I’m all out of money or I would try to get that other dart. He said it’s a gt

As for mine the trunk has a nice crease in it and the sheet metal around the headlight on the fender is wrinkled up. That’s about it for damaged. The trunk can probably be fixed, the fender I’m pretty sure it should be replaced

Im almost local if you need some advice. I work in LB. Early 'A' owner since '85
