Pomona was a bust... Hows the Fall Fling.

Went to pomoma today with the wife and kids and it was just no good. No car orginization what so ever and the swap meet was awful. They should just name it the largest VW car meet in So Cal. But either was I got some quality family time and seen some great cars. The only mopar parts there were an old rusty dusty fire power hemi and a slant clifford 4bbl manifold i was interested in until the dude told me $300 firm. So now ill continue my search for parts at the fall fling hopefully i score a diamond in the rough there. I guess thats rant over have fun everyone.
 
That's how it's always been for me. I only go there to look at wheels or tools. Not much in the mopar department usually, in my experience.
 
Yeah on a lighter note i could have built a running and driving beetle from just swap meet parts and drove it home.
 
Yeah I usually don't go to Pomona for parts, never anyone there selling Mopar.

Fall Fling will be your happy place.

Man, should have asked me before you went; complete waste of time. Believe it or not, there is more Moparts at Long Beach swap meet at 1/10 the size. But Flings are all Mopar and expect to see a few bargains but dont bet on finding a Hemi for $300. They all know what their stuff is worth.....
 
You guys should try the "outback" sometime LMAO. I didn't even go to the "Goodguys" Spokamentro show this year. They don't like old guys in disability vehicles, but it's "OK" for their staff to run people down in their damned golf carts running around the place at 40mph.

Last year I told one of them the really SHOULD read the ADA. It's the law, it is not a "suggestion."
 
Yeah i really wasnt looking for anything in particular just browsing. I did buy an emblem for my boys room(he likes collecting them) i really wasnt in it for the swap meet but the show. My step counter said i walked 13 miles in 4 and a half hours and not to many people sitting by their car showing them off.
 
Well im ready for the fall fling just trying to find matching mopar outfits for my twins and they will be set. The wife is dreading it because she doesnt know how much i have im the car parts savings stash.

Well now im looking forward to it. Im sure you guys wont miss me four hours of walking today and my girls were the only twins I seen. See everyone there.
 
I'll be at the Fling with my gf. Still debating if I'm going to take pictures as Photobucket stopped photosharing for free. The Dart won't show up, but my friend is bringing his Sublime '71 Demon.

But Fall and Spring Fling are some of my 2 favorite days/activities in the year.
 
Im padding my stash as we speak. Now if the vendors only took paypal.....;-)

we usually have a roll call thread a few days prior and a "look what I got" post shortly after. first Fall fling Saturday I got off in years!
 
Steve, you should put out a FABO guestbook and have us sign it when we pass your CPW booth.

I went to Pomona yesterday as well. It was my first time there and I was also very disappointed. I did find what I was looking for (a 350cfm Holly 2300 for $25) but it took hours of passing by all the bowtie parts as well as all the vendors selling unrelated bs. I doubt I'll ever return.
 
Pomona is a total waste of time. I only go to the Long Beach Swap Meet. There's more Mopars and Mopar parts there (not many parts though).

Pomona is pretty much for Chevies only IMO.

I'm looking forward to Fall Fling. I won't be taking my Duster this time since I have stuff to do after I check out the swap meet, but I'm debating about the Friday cruise.
