Can anyone tell me if it makes a difference which way a torsion bar goes in, front-back? And just to be sure the LCA shouldn't be torqued down until the car is lowered.

For factory bars, No. Left and right do matter, but not front and back. Not just lowered -Torque after ride height is set.

the part numbers should be in the back by all printed manuals and the line can go vertical. Just to keep it all symmetrical.

Follow PST’s instructions. With their old 1.03” bars there was no left or right, the bars were zero indexed and could be installed on either side.

I believe their new bars are indexed though, so there will be a left and a right if that’s the case. Maybe @PST can help with that.

If you’re using stock rubber bushings, the LCA pivot pin nuts shouldn’t be fully torqued until the car is at ride height. For poly or Delrin LCA bushings, it doesn’t matter.

Yes the new bars are a 20 degree index. The bars are labeled L and R . When installing place the end with the L and or R to the rear of the vehicle.

Thanks
James

Since the thread is older im going to.hijack for a second-
I have bought all new moog rubber front end bushings, have read some info from you guys about poky and delrin, but also needing greasable LCA pins, since my front end is all dryrotted anyway im assuming a new.set of 1.03 pst bars.and all new rubbers will feel tight and firm..opinions?

Yes by putting all new rubbers you should see a vast improvement over your previous ride quality and with the 1.03 you should have a more modern feel. It will be firm but not harsh.

Thanks
James
