Led Zeppelin is going away, so get it while you can.

MP3s suck. It is not the same To listen to Zeppelin or the Beatles With Digital Technology. Must Get original Vinyl.
I will have to check it out. Love rock but live the debth of sound from vinyl. It can't be duplicated electronically.

The 5th point of Mike Damones 5 point plan for dealing with chicks: #5 When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin 4.

Oh big whoop. I cannot STAND Robert Plant. Talk about a mega asshole.

A few years back, he was offered 850 THOUSAND DOLLARS to do a Led Zeppelin tour with Jason Bonham on drums with the rest of the original crew. He literally told them to F off. He's also been as vocal in interviews when asked about the possibility of a reunion. Just a big old bitter asshole. Not to mention they STOLE many of their biggest hits. ......but I must admit, I do like a lot of their music and Jimmy Paige has to be one of the best guitarists that's ever lived. .....but Plant? What an asshole.

The mistake with that scene was they played "Kashmir" Kashmir was on Physical graffiti Their 6th Album, Not Led Zeppelin IV.

Ha! Someone got the obscure reference to fast Times at Ridgemont High!

Thanks @TrailBeast !

I down loaded the Zep files and listened to them to and from work today. Good stuff!

I tried to download the Beatles files (I'm a big Beatles fan) but it keeps coming up as an invalid file and won't unzip. I tried it several times, but no go. :(

Same here, I thought it was me!

Me too....I'm happy with the Zeppelin though!

Jeff

I have the original file and it doesn't have a problem so I'll re upload it and make a new thread for The Beatles.
It's been on the server for years, so it might have gotten damaged.

I honestly don't think Robert Plant can pull off the vocals anymore. lets face it, he's gotta be damn near 70. Better to be thought an asshole than a has been.

That is really my only problem with Zeppelin....
Stevie Ray Vaughan made a HUGE point of giving credit to the original masters....Zeppelin not so much...

That said - Zeppelin were MASTERFUL musicians and that can't be denied...

Again, thank you TB for the files!!!

Jeff

pulling them down now, Thanks Beast

I'm not going to pile on the LZ "bashing".
I find LZ stuff pretentious.

I know a fellow that likes LZ. I suspect it is the Lord of the Rings tie in.
Obsessed with that.

But you gotta understand that had a girl friend one time.
Every time I went to see her , I had to listen to Physical Graffiti.
Got real old. (Ok, the first three songs or so I liked).
But will share some triva people may not know.
Who the heck is this Roy Harper?
Only a few songs of his that I like too.
I don't see the big deal with him.

I think your doing everyone a service by offering the library up, may even get some new fans. C'mon dont knock tape, even type I can sound pretty good if YOU record it with a good deck. Tape off vinyl on a good 3 head with type II/IV tape with Dolby S and you will not notice a difference. I had a 3 head Sony S deck that had a response of 20-19K (audible limits of Humans) and I have an older Sony 3 head TC-K71 that I modded with non metal head (they had reduced frequency response due to the material needed to survive metal type IV tape) that can do 15-22K on Type 2. I love the sound of tape, even more so than Vinyl but that may be my sub-pro turntable. Production cassettes were high speed reproduced on crap tape so most all minus the few 1:1 masters that were sold sounded like ****, but its hard playing vinyl in a car, but not impossible.

Thanks Trailbeast!

I will NEVER get tired of listening to Zeppelin, period.
Yup. That right there. Theres a recent interview with jimmy page, was quite interesting.playing his favorite music, his influence so to speak- on vinyl.

Saw the Jason Bonham band a few years ago, they don't need Robert Plant, they sounded great. Saw Robert Plant a few years back and listened to him murder some of their big hits. He hasn't got the pipes he used to have, not by a long shot

Downloaded and got it into itunes. Love it. Laptop to ihome, ihome to analogue shop stereo.
Its great!!

Ha! My hearing is more like 60-13k so I think 8 tracks sound great.
