Hi, I´m not so sure anymore these 060 old type High Top Pistons was a good find...
Are the Dyke Ring Set still available? If not, can I use an ordinary race type ring set?
Yes, I could always ask a firm who deals with Piston Rings, if they know about the Dyke Rings :) but what do you guys say?

You need a dykes ring. Total Seal still has them last I checked.

The dykes ring fell out of favor with thin, back cut rings, gas ports and vacuum pumps.

They will still work.

LOOKS like TRW 12.5 , BEST I can see in the pic. ???
The old dykes rings work and work well. They just don`t last as long. You could always have a competent machine shop cut those heavy pistons for any ring u want. I`d have them lightened as much as safely possible.

I would rather have the rings,(and the maintenance) ..,Other than silly pumps, b.s. ..how many miles,will it ever see on the street.?....

Yes, old Mopar slugs are TRW all wright.
Also having second thoughts when it comes to all the machine job they need, but 790g less pin, is not a bad start.
Barton have nice pistons for a resonable price. What do you say?

there's some guys running them today. stock elim and few in S/S. still a good ring combo. very low drag radial tension.

I be happy to tell Total Seal helped me. Very good service, and after some measuring I get what I need. Have to cut the oil groove some though, since this oil ring is no longer available. 5 Stars for Total Seal.
