What kind of paint are you using on suspension, steering, and brake parts?

Find a local hobbyist powder coater. I have been powder coating for about 12 years now. I started out with a kitchen oven in my garage and a $100 Eastwood powder coating gun. I guess a lot of people started out like that. I now have a 3' x 3' x 6' oven. But it is still a hobby to me. I do some coating for others; all word of mouth. I usually only charge about half as much as the pros, since I don't rely on the income. Anyway, my point is that if you find a local guy like me who does good work and has good prices, powder coating may not be out of budget.
Does curing powder in a "food" oven actually ruin it for future cooking? All the powder manufacturers say so. I'd think if you ran a self-cleaning oven thru a clean cycle that any bad stuff would get burnt away pretty thoroughly. Always wondered about this.
