Without tearing it fully apart, all I knew for sure was the camshaft was broken. Finally got it to my mechanic to tear it down and it's all bad news. Crank is no good, block is unsalvagable.
I found a rebuilt '78 440 for $1100, I think it'll be my cheapest option at this point.
