I guess it was too good of a thing. All these years going to Garlits has been a right of passage for us local Mopar Yocals.
This year it has been moved and renamed. Dont ask me the name cuz it's about 2 sentences long. I will continue to refer to it as Garlits in years to come.
Ever since Garlits' Dog got ran over a coupla years back, he's been giving us the "Stink Eye".
And with him getting up in the years, it has become too much of a burden to put on a great show anymore. BOOOOODDY WHO WHOOOO, we sure are gonna miss this location and all the good times.

I'm gonna try to remain positive about the new show and location. Rumors have swirled that future shows would be at Gainesville Raceway to bring a racing theme, as they do at the Mopar Nationals.
Maybe this will happen in the future.
Major F-Up #1: THE DATE. Unfortunately, the Florida Mopar Assoc (they're in charge of the Garlits Show) has made one major mistake:
This show has ALWAYS been first week in November, they have changed the date to Nov 11th. You can bet some die hard Garlits guys will be showing up next Saturday with a major WTF happened look on their yaps as they approach locked Gates at Garlits.
Major F-Up #2: THE NAME. The Garlits name should have remained. Pay off Garlits if you have to, but keep that Damn Name. It will pay off in the end.
