Will an LA-360 bolt in where a LA-340 was?

Have you actually had the 340 checked out by a competent builder? All I see is where you say that it needs work. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I'd have the 340 carefully checked out (sonic testing) before making any drastic decisions.
