It's funny no mention of mental issues until he got in trouble. He was a Sargent he would not have been a Sargent without extensive testing....Oops I said done
Actually he was a private when he deserted, he was promoted while captured to Specialist and then to Sgt right about the time he was released. He also received full pay and benefits while in captivity.
