Restoring/Adjusting Vent Window Door Glass--Great Article

-
Great find - I replaced the back quarter window regulator (working in a confined space in a confined space) and my adjustment is a little off. This should help

Now I need to adjust my drivers side quarter window - don't see much in this article for that help

I learned the hard way... Door hinges first ! Mine is a 2 door hardtop. Drivers side quarter window regulator serviced, that glass aligned to the door glass, and all was fine,, until I renewed the drivers door hinges. Aligning that quarter glass became a do over.

The usual problem that people run into with Mopar vent window/window glass cars is that in order to remove the window glass you have to first remove the divider bar, but to remove the divider bar you have to first remove the window glass! The answer is to remove all the hardware attaching the divider bar; then grab the top of it and pull the top of the divider bar backwards as far as it will go (about halfway back). This will free the window glass so you can get it out of the way by sitting it down in the bottom of the door. Once the glass is lying down inside the door, you can pull the top of the divider bar all the way back, at which point you can remove it from the door. Then you can pull the glass straight out.

Yep. ANNNND, that stupid forward window channel lining that goes in the in the guide on the trailing edge of the vent window. Delicate as ****....flocked plastic trying to force it's way into the channel that has sharp leading edge. Guess who's ordering a 2nd set??! Luckily they're ONLY 100 a pair.
