So there must be some proper way to connect all these springs and cotter pins and D clips. So this is a Carter BBD, super six setup conversion on my slanted 225.
So the piece that holds all the springs and connections (throttle thing?) has 2 holes, and a indented section at the end.

This pic is what I have and how I currently have it all connected. I put the washers in as a guide so the springs don't rub and get caught. Any help here please.

For a v8, usually, the throttle return springs should be hooked on the right(carb)side of throttle stud, between the shoulders of the throttle cable end. That will lessen any extraneous torque on the throttle shaft.
for sl6, bbd, I can't say, because I've never had a super 6.

Return springs aren't in the right place...Should be a eyelet for them below and the kickdown linkage should be moved over.

is that what that 2nd hole is for on the carb kickdown??? I guess that makes sense, but I have never seen anyone ever use it.
Thanks so much. I have one extra hole in the rod bit, near the indented end part.
