I found this interesting.... Thought I would share

Online they look the same ---- but are they? We bought both of these 9-drawer mobile workstations from Home Depot & Harbor Freight thinking that they were identical, but it turns out we were wrong.....they are not the same.....not even close!

The Husky # 763089 @ $298? --- Husky 46 in. 9-Drawer Mobile Workbench with Solid Wood Top, Black-7440946R - The Home Depot

The Yukon # 63532 @ $299? --- 46 in. 9 Drawer Mobile Workbench with Solid Wood Top

that guy does really good reviews, his reviews were the reason i gave Tekton tools a try and so far have been impressed with, i have heard good things bout both harbor freight brands "yukon and us general" i have the husky box thats in that video, i am happy with the box, if it was used for more then personal i dont think it would hold up well but all and all i am happy with it, although i would like to try out the yukon or us general ones too....can never have enough tool boxes...LOL

I too bought the same Husky box in the spring and use it for my personal/hobby in my garage and actually got it on sale for 250.
My local HF didn't have the Yukon on hand, only the us general, and I thought the Husky looked to be the better of the two.
I've had no problems with the Husky and have really enjoyed having it.

Not surprised. I think both have some good stuff and some total junk. I got a bunch of the HDX parts bins - great. HDX Plastic shelves (Rubbermaid knockoff, got 2 sets)- junk, took back cause as soon as I removed plastic wrap I saw they were cracked in several places. HF has come a long way, but still random. $15 4.5"angle grinder - loud, horrible vibration. I was scared to run a cutoff wheel on it. lol. 7" grinder - runs great.
Both boxes look decent for the money. Unless I missed it, what I did not here on the review... What was the metal thickness, weight of the boxes, quality of the slides...Weight ratings from the Chinese factory don't mean nuthin to me.

Harbor Freight has lots of, handy, tools, at a very good price. Just pay attention to what You are buying.

I think either would do just fine in the confined area of a basic garage. Wood tops that thin warp so you flip it over from time to time or replace it with a real top. Not impressed at all with those weld-shims (I'll call them), cheesy chit IMO.
Evidently the Husky has some US labor involvement. At least that's what it states. At that price difference I think one comparing the two might see it as a plus.........

And with either one, if you can keep the box intact, it can entertain the little kids for hours.

I'd buy the Yukon from harbour freight for sure for my own shop. The heavier construction makes the difference for me plus I'm only 5'10" so the lower top is better for me as well.
I love your reviews

I recently bought the red HF 44" roller. At the time I had also looked at the 46" Yukon and Husky. The HF red 44 was about $50 more but it seemed to be much heavier duty than the Yukon and Husky 46" models. The HF 44 weighs about 60lbs more than those other two.

Not surprised at all. I've got the US General 44" 13 drawer box. I've been very happy with it.

I really like the idea of the "grip-latch" on the Sears Craftsman, BUT the drawer pulls are made for a woman or kids hands (or Trump's teeny hands, lol).
I, personally, have the red general box. It seems to be built well enough, and it just fits under my shelves.

I found this great site while doing a search to find a comparison of both of these exact models. One thing about this review I see that is possibly in error: The review states that the bottom drawers on the Husky #763089 only have one slider. However, I think the Husky model has been re-designed so that it appears much more similar to the Yukon. If you look at the current listing for the Husky: Husky 46 in. 9-Drawer Mobile Workbench with Solid Wood Top, Black-7440946R - The Home Depot and scroll down the page to the pictures that show the drawers open, you will see that it shows the lower drawers having dual sliders. Also, the top does not appear to be held in place by raised metal sides as the one in this review. Finally, the current ad for the Husky lists the height as 37", not 39" as reflected in this video. I am going to go to Home Depot today and look at the current incarnation of the Husky 763089 - I suspect it is now much closer to the Yukon than when this video was made.

I was looking at a Husky combo tool chest and base at Home Depot. We don't have Harbor Freight here in Canada. I ended up buying the Kirkland Signature unit at Costco because I thought it seemed much more sturdily built. This comparison seems to reinforce my decision.

regardless, there seems to be a lot more in tool box selection this year at Lowes, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight. They are already filling up the aisles at my local stores.

I bought the HF 44" box on the recommendation of a friend that worked for Caterpillar at the time. His box is a snap on but a young guy that hired in bought a HF box and my buddy was impressed with it and how well it had held up i a shop environment with the load it was carrying. My box is four years old and has held up great. For the $$$ HF boxes are hard to beat, my $.02.

26 in., 16 Drawer Glossy Red Roller Cabinet Combo
I recently got this one for work. Caught it on sale for $299.
Very impressed, especially for what I paid. I will need to roll it around the building and the casters are just sleeve -no bearings. I put them together with neversieze and added some strut in the base where the casters attach to stiffen it a bit. Would have been fine as bought for a home garage though

UPDATE: I went to HD yesterday and put eyes on their version of the chest in the video. They must have changed it since this video because this model now has the top bolted down like the HF version and also has 2 sliders on the lower drawer like the HF version. I also opened the top drawer and look at the bottom side of the top of the cabinet and it did have the welded reinforcement member like the HF version in the video. In short, I think the Husky workstation from HD item #763089 is now virtually identical to the Yukon version from HF. It is likely made by the same manufacturer but just re-badged for each seller.

By the way ended up not getting it after all. Instead I bought their Husky 52 inch 13-drawer tool chest (I'll attempt to attach a picture).

great review. thanks, good info. Like I said, there are pretty good choices in affordable tool boxes, right now.

I've been very impressed with the units I've seen at Costo also. I ended up with the Home Depot because that had it in stock (Costco didn't) plus, because I'm a retired veteran Home Depot gave me 10% off the in-store price so I saved $50.

Looks like HD now has theirs on sale for $199.
May need to swing by there and take a look/see.
