BEWARE OF DOG

Our lab. She is getting up there too. Went deaf this summer, doesent bother her at all and responds well to hand signals.

I agree with man's best friend, but there is a scientific way to determine if your dog or your wife is actually your best friend. Place your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car and drive around a bit, being sure to go over a few railroad crossings. Stop and open the trunk. At this point, you only have a moment to decide which one is happy to see you!

We lost our big guy this morning. He'd been having a lot of issues in the past few weeks and the vet found a mass on his shoulder and chest that would explain those issues. With his advice, I decided it was just best to have him put down before it got worse.

We gave him four good years after the first ones weren't the best. I feel good about that, but I'm going to miss the big goof.

Sorry for your loss. People who don't have a dog can't understand how they worm their way into your heart and become family.

I haven't had a pet in years but I can only imagine it's almost like losing a child. Sorry for your loss but you did the right thing and he's not suffering anymore.

Dang it Big Jon, sorry to hear.

I heard one time, "the only bad thing about a dog is they don't live long enough"

We rescued this attack dog from the middle of the road last Sunday.

He was standing in the middle of road when we left the house and drove down the mountain. Cars actually had to drive around him. 20 minutes later when we drove back up he was still standing in the same spot so My wife opened her door and he jumped right in. We cleaned him up and got him good and fed. I'm thinking he was dumped since he was waiting in the middle of the road.

Taking him to get scanned for a chip tomorrow. He's a VERY friendly dog. Here's a picture with my wife after a week, and one the night we brought him home. He had bites all over and a couple chunks out on the back of his legs and had not eaten for a while. We REALLY don't need another one...

Big John I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. And now I'm gonna have a good cry for you. And him. Just makes me that sad.

To add to the photos of dogs-bordering-on-livestock, here is my GF's dane. This girl is 180 pounds of unbridled energy, as you can see.

Then of course I have a pair of knuckleheads of my own. Sometimes there is no explaining what dogs are thinking. My smaller one has used my larger one as a pillow forever, and I can't figure out why. The large dog is tolerant in the extreme...

Sorry for your loss,Big John.
I never imagined what it was like to lose a pet, until we lost our first yellow lab.
Our current dog just lost her hearing, and i feel so bad for her. Seems like she doesent care. Still the same happy dog. Just more observant-when she’s awake. Have to wake her up in the morning now,as she likes to sleep on the wife’s spot on the couch.

That's a HUGE dog!! Not sure if our rescue is a dane or not. Looks like one in a lot of ways but he must be young, he's only 73 pounds.

That's funny right there! Maybe the smaller one feels secure sitting on the larger one? It's funny to see him sitting there!
