Narrow "Stock Location" Mount Fuel Tank for 1968 Dodge Dart?

A friend of mine narrowed my stock 66 Barracuda tank when we did the spring relocation and mini-tub. He took out enough to have the same gap on the right as it does on the left.

Interesting! I bought an A body tank off ebay, and have about 1/2" clearance on both sides w/ a 3/4" offset spring hangar set up.???????????
