Removing Head Rests - 70 Duster ???

I'm replacing the head rests in My 70 Duster. -- Is there a trick to pulling them out, without removing upholstery ?? ------ I Found an old post regarding this, with illustrations. -- Thanks.

There should be a push latch on one of the rods if im correct.
 
Per a suggestion from 72Dart6pack. -- I put a small piece of 2 X 4, sideways. between the top of the seat, and under the bottom side of the head rest. I used a pinch bar, between the 2 X 4, and the head rest, and pried the head rest up - presto - released. -- Thanks, Ken.
