The pic that I thinking about may be from the early 70's. Paralleling Smokey and the Bandit or the Dukes of Hazard. Clear aviator glasses with big teeth. Looked like a southern state police or Teddy Roosevelt. The hunt continues.

In the early 70's Dodge had the Sherriff in their promotional material. He was then replaced with a Lone Ranger character on a horse. Don't remember any reference to Dodge Boys after about 1970. But I do recall Dodge Boys references in advertising in the late 80's.

In 1970-71 the sheriff showed up in most of the Dodge ads. The Dodge Boys were kind of replaced by the sheriff. By around 73 or 74 a masked Lone Ranger figure on horseback was appearing in Dodge TV commercials. In the late 80's, the Dodge Boys reference made a brief come back but I don't believe they showed Dodge Boys then.
