Opinions Please.....
At another local place, there was a couple in the booth to my rear who believe it or not were talking about scientific research having to do with products of afterbirth. I didn't even turn around, I just said "can we PLEASE have a different subject of discussion over dinner?"
been on both sides of this one too
once i was at ihop with the family and some kids sat down behind us (after we were allready there)
well, their language was disgusting
so i asked them nicely to use proper language and they disrespect me, start talking louder, and with worse words
so i take my jacket off and turn around to put it on my chair (turning my back on them)
then i faced them again and asked them again, one more time
this time my request was much better received (perhaps because when i put my jacket on the chair they could see the but of my ruger poking out of its holster)
on the other hand, we were once having dinner in a real nice place
the wife, me and two friends
as conversation progressed we ended up talking about the KJV and modern bible interpretations
at some point, i noticed everyone in the room was listening to me, so i got on my soapbox and get into an expose on how the niv and all the other critical text versions and how Jesus is God, the KJV makes that perfectly clear, but the other ones not so much. and how the other versions downplay the Blood of Christ and how that without the shedding of blood, there is NO remission of sins.
a few seconds after i finished, a waitress came to the table behind us, and i could hear the man ask for a box because "the conversation here was sickening him"
