There's a conflict (LG 170 vs. RG 225) between two databases on that number. What stamping do you find on the engine ID pad (block deck surface, facing the sky, front of RH side of engine, below № 1 spark plug, just inboard of alternator/coil mount bracket)?

Odd stamping. How sure are you that these are exactly and all of the characters stamped? What is this block's casting number (in the same location as you found 2205857 on the other block)?

So the stamp on /6 in my 64 dart is T22 12 27 2
Block casting # 2202857-2

The other block out of parts car , I'm sure motor has been changed
Stamp # 7225R 2 2 2L
Cast 030-13 (?)
Hope this makes scence

The one in the '64 is a 225 built Dec. 27th 1963 by the second shift. If that is before the SO date on the fender tag, It may very well be the OE mill
Not sure about the second one based on that casting#...............?

This resolves the database conflict, and indicates it's not the original engine to your car.

T: 1963 model year
22: 225 cubic inches (RG engine)
12 27: Engine built 27 December 1962
2: Line or shift code

Stamp # 7225R 2 2 2L
Cast 030-13 (?)

None of this resolves cleanly. It's got elements of how the '77 and '87 engines were supposed to be stamped, but neither is 100%. Could that "L" at the end be a poorly-stamped "E"? Or is it definitely, undoubtedly an "L"? A stamping of 7225R 2 2 2E could reasonably be decoded as 1977-model engine, 225 cubic inches, passenger car engine (vs. truck), 2 February 1977, line/shift 2, cast crankshaft.

But no 7-digit casting number suggests it's a late-late (like '87) block.

Thanks so much !
Whoops,, "T" is the series(model year), so Dan is correct. What about a shot of the fender tag, the line (170,270,GT) codes & engine options are there, will tell You a lot.
If You've got a 170 line that had a 170 Slanty in it, they might've decided to bump up the torque w/a 225 out of a wrecked '63 etc. etc..at the time, one never knows!

It a GT
Doesn’t it seem possible that it original. If The motor stamp date is 12/27/63 awful close to 1964 model year .
I’m not building a complete original show car so not to worried about #’s match .
Thanks for taking the time to help me out . Nice to have this resource .

If You read the link to the other thread posted by memike, I listed the coding for the engines of Your era, I made this error a couple posts up Myself. The "T" is the model
year or "Series" as Mopar called it, the model year runs from roughly the August of the previous year thru that year up to August, that means an engine destined for
a '63 model "T" would have to be built just prior to Aug '62 thru Aug '63........a build date of Dec. 27th would have to have been in '62 for a "T" model year.............
And Welcome to FABO!!
