I'm ready to have my 1970 duster 340 repainted.
The body shop owner said he was going to use PPG Omni paint.
I have looked on the PPG site & find that it's a budget paint.
After almost $9,000 in prep work I'm not sure about using a Budget paint.
Any suggestions ?

PPG Deltron DBC is what we use at our body shop. Its a 2 stage paint, a basecoat with a clear coat. its what is used by any new car manufacture.

X2. At our shop we use it, offer a lifetime warranty as long as you own the car. Good stuff.

It's really ,simple : Whatever paint systems, the guy in the suit & using the gun ,prefers.
Otherwise, you will spend ,even more.

Here we are not required to use waterborn paint but I think Cali its mandated for EPA regs.
Only certain areas.... I took the 1 hour trip to Sonora to purchase my house of kolor Kandy paint for my motorcycle. Local could only sell me Kandy concentrate

H.O.K./ Valspar is expensive, BUT NICE!

Hey Adam, how's it going? Haven't felt your presence lately:lol:. I posted some additional pictures on the restorations forum (see "almost there again") of the painted dash and engine covers, check them out. The body is 97.5% done, I hope to have color on it by 12/31. Ron
