What tires are you guys running on a body cruisers? I had bfg radial t/a tires but I was not impressed at all with the ride and performance in the rain.

Any suggestions? The car will be drivin in the rain but no snow.

I have never been impressed with any of the BF Goodrich stuff.

I run MT sportsman pros and have for 2 decades. I run them on the street and at the track. I've also used their radials in 18 and 20" on aother vehicle and I've run their truck tires (dick cepek as well) FCII's and MC tires.

If you didn't like BFG drag radials, you probably won't like any of them, although I have not personally driven in the rain with Nitto drag radials. I have BFGs and currently use Mickey Thompson radial ETs. I prefer the ETs for dry weather traction, but they are similar in the rain to BFGs.

Edited to change ET drag to radial ETs. Big difference. Sorry.

I have slicks for the track. Just looking for a good street tire.

Mickey Thompson sportsman pro's. Great street tire and they work well in the pouring rain.

I have Cooper Cobra on the back of one Duster. 235/60R15's. No issues. I've had BFGoodrich on a few cars, no issues with them either.

These tires look good and they look like they would perform a little better than the radial t/a.

I have 245/60-15 Cooper Cobras on the back of my Duster. They are fine in the rain. They are fine on the street, and if you said you got slicks for the track they will likely be fine for you. They don't provide a hell of a lot of traction on the street.

I have some quick time pro slicks that I can throw on in a couple minutes for real fun.

M/T Sportsman ST. great in the rain, been driving on them for two years now and I love them.

The Sportsman ST tread looks identical to the Cooper Cobra tread to me. Not sure about tread compound.

I will need to look into the tread compound. I won’t be driving the car a ton but I am not looking for something that’s going to wear out quickly.

Coopers are decent that way. Mine have maybe 2000 miles on them and the only wear they have is from the odd burn out they are exposed to.

Pep Boys Futura Super Sport made by Cooper Tire. I live in FL and they work very good in the rain. MT ET Street drag radial at the track.

No issues with ride for me on ghe bfg. The radial t/a hook pretty good on the street too. 4k launch and maybe spin a little for 20ft then she goes, of course im sure the 275 and the pinion snubber in the back helps with that lol i already had to put a torque strap in it lol

These:

nitto nt555 extreme 275 50 17

Fantastic tire, I have them on the Dakota R/T and the Duster. The work GREAT in the rain and very good in the dry. 27.8" diameter by about 10.2" wide mounted on a 9.5 wheel.

The Cooper Cobra Radial G/T, the Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T, the Mastercraft Avenger, and a few other off-brand tires all look identical to me. Would not be surprised to find out they are all the same, all made in the same place.

I have no first hand experience with them myself but next time I need tires for my Duster I’ll be buying Nitto NT555 G2 tires.
