I have a 360 magnum. I'm in the market for new heads and they are offering EQ heads for $560 each with 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust valves. Has anyone dealt with them? How's there quality? That' about at the max I have to spend on heads.

Probably count on new springs at the very least, as their installed springs are really only stock capable in lift and seat pressures both.
Other than that they just kick *** for the money.
I have the 1.92 heads and dealing with them was perfect.
I did add Hughes springs and retainers set for them after I got the heads, as I wanted to swap in known quality stem seals and check the clearances on the guides anyway.:D (which was also nice by the way)

Awesome news. I actually have the spring kit from magnum mopar already so that will work.

Evidently the heads at odessa don' have bronze valve guides. Is that a problem?

Thanks

Installed a set with the stock valve sizes along with a mild flat tappet cam on a 1986 vintage LA 318 engine that is in my 68 Coronet wagon. Bolted them on and went cruising. No problems.

If they are stock casting odessa (clearwater cyl head) fixes up, id steer clear and just get the EQ heads from a repuitable company. I used to get Vortec 906 castings for chebbys and has numerous castings fail, that they had "fixed". One braze was so bad the head literally cracked down the exhaust side into the center valve seat. i wish i had taken pictures...
