Found a good deal on a moulded plastic dash capper for my sons 69 cuda. Heck of a deal 43% off and free shipping. Fits 69-76 A body. I have a decent dash pad from a 74 dart for it with a single crack in granny green. Figure this would be a perfect fix for it. Picked this up off evilbay for $81.15 shipped. I dunno how long this deal will go on for. If your in the market for one, now might be time to get it.

I saw that and ordered one for my 71 duster last week. I have used dash cap before, hope this is same quality. Yes good price. So why do I call it "evilbay"????? ha

I don't call CL eveil, I just assume they are all on bad dope!!!! ha
 
Evilbay, fleabay, etc. I call it evilbay myself. I guess we will both find out about the quality when these show up. I am pretty good at making anything work.
 
I can assume they are good if the dash pad isnt severely warped, and is close to original shape. I have a 74 granny green pad with 1 split right down the middle. No twisting or buckling. Perfect candidate.
 
I got mine last night. Ups working till 8 pm!! yes it is made by Accu form, I have had theirs before. maybe the only company that makes them?? don'n kow. Work and look great for driver. Show car guy will have to have the real mc coy no doubt. This was a bargain ...
 
It sure was, mine showed up last night too. I looked it over this mornin. Didnt see who made it, but its probably accuform like yours was. We ordered from the same seller on evilbay after all. The grain on it looks really nice. It will work just fine over that granny green 74 dart pad im gonna use on my sons 69 cuda notch.

Mine had sticker on inside said Accuform, but the sender tore off part of the paperwork inside, no doubt direct shipped from Accuform.

I am not into show cars, and perfect everything, so dash caps work fine for me. If I had a real 340 Duster I would spend the $ for a real dash pad, kill myself taking out the old and putting in the new pad, or easier Ha! yet, pull the windshield to get it done!!!!!! ha
 
My 67 has a repop pad from classic ind. Fit really well. Got it on one of their deals for $200. But its more or less a sleeper dressed up to look like a restoration. My sons car i have to find places to corner cut. A dash cap is a good place to corner cut.

We plan on painting the oem dash plastics on his 69 matte black and using the DMT carbon fiber look inserts in it to dress it up as opposed to $400 worth of chromed plastic. Chrome is missing off em, lenses are fine, nothing is warped or cracked. I think it will look good. And if he wants the repopped chrome pieces later on, its an easy swap.

Another plan is body color matched bumpers with new carriage bolts. This will look decent and save a few bucks until he can get chrome ones or these rechromed later on.

I bought the "Last One" according to eBay this morning and the price went up slightly to $86.05 and Free Shipping - so I couldn't complain beats paying full price and it should make the dash on my Dart nicer to look at.

I hope they are better than they used to be. I bought one of those caps about 20 years ago, and it didn't even come close to fitting. I wound up sending my dash in to a company called Just Dashes to be restored. They did a beautiful job.
