Well, I haven't been on here in a while... I have been cruising the car for a bit though! :) I was going to paint it gunmetal but after spraying a test panel had a change of heart. It just didn't stand out and I wasn't satisfied. I went with a completely different color that I had custom made and threw a little flake in it. My thought process was that I loved mopars wild colors (greens, purples, etc) but they were just a little too common and somewhat plain for me. I had my hesitations but was reminded by my cousin that so far my visions on other projects have not failed me haha... I've done paint before (my motorcycle and small parts here and there) but this is my first time doing metal work, body work and paint completely by myself. Here goes nothing:

A little update on the car and mods I did to the body:

Shaved drip rails (gutters)
Shaved antenna
Shaved top mounted indicators
Shaved front and rear marker lights
Shaved all moldings, trim and emblems

Original color choice:

The final color is an olive green metallic I had custom mixed specifically to my vision. Here is the car as it was previously, and some of the work in progress...

On to the color:

I love the car, but I'm not a fan of the shaving....
But that's just me and it's your car....rock on

Love the color choice and looks like you're doing some nice work on the body. Keep up the good work.

I like that color, but IMHO without the flake is better, but it's hard to tell on a computer screen and would need to see it in real time.
Either way, it's a good looking color and definitely different.

I really like that color. It looks kind of like F8 Dark metallic green with extra gold flake. What color are you planning for the interior?

picking out the perfect color for your car is by far the hardest part of the whole job.

looks like you did some research and found something that looks great and is quite fitting. Congrats and good job. :)

Interior is going to stay black for a while, as I do not have a job currently and have been living off of savings for the last 4 months... but I do plan to change it to a peanut butter color some day.

I thought I was the only one with this opinion!

That's a good looking color you have young man!

Well here is an update guys... I will get pics of it out in the sun later today. The sun changes the color dramatically... I am VERY happy with the outcome!

Looks beautiful. Mine will go back to it's original color eventually so I don't have trouble trying to pick the color. Dark red poly.

HOLY SMOKES that looks great!
