why do people help make old cars look bad

-
Hope this guy isn't a member here. I think this just looks bad.

Ok... so it’s not my car. And I wasn’t serious about any of that... lol.

The sad thing is, with just a little more time to mask off and black out the core support that’d then be a lot nicer car. You know, for a beaker. :D

Great. Just Great.
My bumpers are fubar.
Was considering black or body colour. Now i have to find the cheesiest silver so i can get raked over the coals for being so stupid.
Its bad enough i have to repaint engine bay,as last guy painted it black.

All kidding aside, im set on black for my bumpers, but will always be on the hunt for decent chrome to replace them.

My 65 Barracuda.
Will be some time before i get to bumpers,i know of a couple good fabricators that work with aluminum, rolling that around too. A set of closely shaped polished aluminum bumpers may do it too.

I’d take the magnum (if it’s an SRT) the Neon, and the vette. The magnum is an easy repaint away from being nice, the Neon is pretty nice as is but would be super nice without the big decal and the Vette kinda has a badass Mad Max thing goin on.

Yep it is sad. What does a can of Krylon cost? Less that $ 5. The grille was already out when the car was built. Nothing wrong with a "Beaker"!

 That thing is GORGEOUS!!!!

I just like giving beakers a hard time :D I must say, I do like the 73+ Plymouth’s a LOT more than the Dodge’s though. That said, they’re are a few beaker Dodges that I’ve seen that I could proudly drive, like that one you posted.

Plymouth stayed with the Duster look. Dodge had to do something different.

I can see a person describing their preferences...I am often an opinionated, judgemental guy that speaks as if MY opinion outweighs the opinions of others. Blacked out grilles are not controversial though, Body color bumpers either.
Body color bumpers are not just the idea of individuals...Some cars were built that way from the factory. All new cars have tucked in, molded plastic type bumper covers. New trucks are about the only places you see chrome on a late model vehicle. No chrome trim around the windows, rarely any chrome mirrors or door handles either.
The grille? Several cars from the "classic" era featured performance models where the grille was painted black to differentiate it from the non performance models.

True in most cases. But our 2016 Chrysler 200C is pretty loaded with chrome, granted the base model 200’s have very little chrome. Here’s a pic of one identical to ours.

Interior has wood grain and a gold chrome trim.

I like it. The hood pole made of socket extensions is much cooler than the yard stick I use for my trunk too.

Here in Canada, the preferred choice for hood or trunk supports is an old hockey stick with the blade cut off.Had more than one car over the years with that "option".

We need a button for this.
But I'm not sure what it would be.
"Agree" just doesn't do it.
How about a WTF button?
