I'm not sure why he did it, but he went to considerable effort. Now in addition to worrying about rust, he will have to be concerned with termites.

Not my cup of tea but gotta admire the work effort

If he would have went farther and put a wagon roof on it might look right.
I agree, that would have made for a nicer looking build, only thing to add to it now would be a luggage rack on the trunk .
memikie don't likie :steering:

Yeah, I saw it first time he listed it. I dunno know. Said it was done around the 90's. I kinda like it.

You gotta agree, it's different............
The first thing that came to my mind was that would be a lot of work to hide crappy bodywork on the sides of the car!

I am not on board with that. No way wood I ever have done that.

Acorn not understand why someone wood do this. They deserve a sumac in the face for wrecking a cool old car. Maple they thought it looked good? Doesn't seem like a very poplar modification here on FABO though. Everyone is birching about it. My dogwood probably just pee on it! And I'll bet the floorboards are rotted out.

Probably trying to hide the 68 header/grill panel on it....LOL

What is the root cause of somebody doing this? I think they have put bark up on the wrong tree! I wonder if the engine has annual rings?

I kind of like it. It has an off-beat charm. Someone had to really want to do this.
