I have read that the w2 port design that worked so well on the small block did not work at all on a big block and that's why Chrysler killed it.
that is partially true, Bob was trying to find the exact intake design that would work on the BB, but before he did the project was killed. Chrysler was in finicial problems then and they were killing anything that would not bring in the cash in immediately.
