I'm looking for a v8 swap kit for a 86 d50 / mighty max. any help would be great.

Can't help with a kit, but:

I did a swap into a D50 back in the early 90s. Used a 273 and a 904. Used the factory automatic cross member and drive shaft. (It was the "baby" 904 originally). Had to massage the radiator support and used pins on the hood because of this.

Fun little truck. Had some issues keeping it cool, I did not have room for a belt driven fan, and my choices/experience in electric fans was poor. Probably better ways to cool it now.

what did you do for motor mounts

Used factory brackets/mounts from a 67 dart and some metal plate. (That was the donor car for the 273) I don't remember the particulars, but I do remember is was not too involved. (I did not have a welder at the time.)

I drove the truck from Wichita Falls to Austin and back a cpl of times....traveled at night in the winter due to cooling issues. Kinda' wish I still had it.

I'm 99% sure Mopar Action did either a feature or a tech. article on something like this, although I believe they used the Mitsubishi version. Seem to remember they started with a 4 banger and were actually able to use the auto trans behind a swapped-in 360. I can look for the article if it might help, just take me a day or two. Saw one at a show years ago with a big block mounted in the bed, crudely backyard engineered and really cool!

I remember this as well,I think they used a 360/904 combo. The Mitsu trucks, some of which were badged as Dodge D50's, used a 904 trans behind the 4 banger so everything from the tranny back would be a bolt in operation which saves a lot of work.

thanks everyone for your input. if you think of anything else at all that would be helpful don't hesitate. I looked for that article from MOPAR ACTION , couldn't find it.

Car oil pans and truck oil pans are different... You will have to swap a truck oil pan and pick-up tube on the v-8 when you decide which one you are going to use...
