Hello everyone. Once again i need some peoples advice/input. I have the opportunity to buy this 1969 Dart GT 318 AC car, and i'm trying to get a baseline of what it might be worth. The guy is asking 3,500. I think i might be able to get him down to 3. Anyways it seems to be a really clean car. This will be my 3rd dart i had a 73, and currently have a 72 big block dart. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Chris

Looks solid, but be sure to check all the normal rust areas. Floors, Quarters ,Trunk, Frame Rails..Good Luck.

Great looking car for that kind of money, look's very complete too, snag it up, or send me his number lol just kidding!!

I would be drooling all over that!...I don't think $2500 would be a bad offer to start, if it's solid.

Make sure you absolutely love that car...you will spend a ton of money on everything mechanical to get it back on the road. Ask me how I know. I found my Dart the same way. Sat for 15 years. Would I do it over again...Hell yes! I paid $4500 for mine 3 years ago. Mine is the Dart on the right in the first pic.

I paid $3000 when I bought my car and it looked marginally better than that with a newly redone engine but a terrible roof rust problem. I would make him an offer of $2500 but I don't know if I would go over $3000 unless you could get it running without much work.

Thanks to everyone on the advice. I finally got the wife's approval so when I get home in a few months I'm gonna go try and get the deal done. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Finally got the deal done picked it up today. Thanks for everyone’s input I appreciate it. I’ll be starting a build thread when I start it. Which will be in about a year or so due to deployment.

Good score. It's so much easier, and cheaper, to start with a solid car that's complete.
It looks low in the back,is there junk in the trunk as well?

Not sure if there’s anything in the trunk. The guy didn’t have the keys so I gotta try and get into it. There might be though.

Congratulations, looks like you picked up a solid car. I really like 69 Darts, I've had two of them over the years, the first one I bought new in Sept. of 69. It was a 318 Swinger, bottom line on the window sticker was $3100. Were you able to get it for less than $3500?

I actually ended up paying 4,000 for it, but got some old school Centerlines with the deal. I still think I came out on top.

Good purchase! I bought a couple like yours w/o keys for the trunk or ignition. The locks are fair cheap to buy and can be drilled out slowly and step by step. This won't damage the lock area or the finish panel. Then a trusty screw driver will get it open. Have done it twice lately with no issues. Good luck on the build!

If you take out the back seat, you might be able to get access to the trunk latch thru the trunk.Just tape a bunch or extensions together with a 1/2 socket on the end and you should be able to unbolt the latch with no risk of damage and pull the lock out to get re-keyed by a locksmith.
