Slant 6 car with AC that arrived last month. 26K Miles. A Magnum conversion is planned for late next year. Doing paint correction on it at the moment.

That low of mileage and that nice of shape, I'd keep the slant and cruise it.

Good point on keeping the sixer. Not a lot of power, but pretty darn reliable and decent gas mileage, which basically means good driver.

I kind of agree, very nice original car, and if its really 26K original mile, it seems shame to do anything with it but just keep it as is and drive it.

But that said, it would make a sweet magnum swap car and more fun to drive. But if I did a magnum swap on it, I would keep the rest of the car looking as original as possible, hubcaps, whitewalls, original paint, etc.

I don't know how much you paid but its worth it! There can't be very many like that on the planet.

That’s the plan. Keep it original looking, except I’ll probably go with rallye wheels.

No way I could modify one like that.

Clean original cars are becoming extinct, it is sad.

Personally I’d do a modern Hemi if it were mine. Either way that shitty, boring ***, slob slant 6 would be ripped out.
 
Yes cream puff. Great find. Survivors are few and far between. Pretty much only one to be found are slant cars. The hp cars were abused and destroyed decades ago except for a rare handful.
I would give the slant a chance. It could grow on you, then if not put in the hopped up SB if that will give you the fun factor needed.
At any rate, I would keep it looking stock but that is just me. Or a "day 2" treatment is me too.

I would keep the 6 in there. If I really wanted more power I would look at Clifford Performance. How cool would a duel weber set-up look?

Eye Candy!!! That is the dual carb set up. The hard part I you need two matchng carbs for it to run right, I haven always been told. Check posts on her bout Clifford.

I have always thought I got a decent amount of MORE power with the 2 barrel super six deal. Gear has something t do with that also. Maybe my imagination!??
