Tricks for eliminating fuel boil

I like it. How did you plumb the return into the tank? Also do you have a part number or any help with the heat sheath. Thanks!
My 3/8" sending unit has a 1/4" return port. I used rubber line from the hard line to the port. In the engine compartment I bent a piece of 5/16 tube to bridge the gap from the hard line to the filter.
The heat sheath is available at Advance or most any parts store in the performance section with plug wires and stuff. Runs about $12.

I routed the fuel line away from being trapped between the hot soaked block and hot soaked alternator.

Then routed firesleeve over everything back to frame rail past firewall where it parallels the headers.

You might just try just the sheath by itself and see if that solves your issue. A spacer or thick gasket would be next on my list, but that can bring hood clearance issues.
Do you run a functional hood scoop?
My personal theory is that the fuel heats up more from the line being close to the exhaust than heat off the engine itself.

I like it looks nice. So if that is plumbed back into the canister vent line from the tank how did you vent your tank?

No hood scoop but I have enough room for a half inch spacer.

Yeah I'm thinking maybe I'll throw the sheath on there and take it for a spin to see. Got the Edelbrock 1406 with the bowls right on top of the hot motor not hoping for much there. Will probably need the spacer.
 
The 1406 installation instructions actually tell you to do that!

However, none of us ever read the instructions :)
Yeah and the car came with the carburetor already on it. I just went through and rebuilt it. I actually think it's an old Carter it doesn't have an Edelbrock badge anywhere.
