Pickup trucks

Two years ago I was looking at trucks. Went to the dodge dealer, and they had about 30 trucks. EVERY one of them was a 4 door quad cab , every one had a hemi, and every one was loaded and expensive. I just wanted a truck.
To find a plain truck find a dealership that caters to commercial sales. Dodge by me doesn't have a large commercial presence, but I assume they must have some commercial dealers. I do see contractor trucks, but the overwhelming majority are pimp trucks on 20's. The commercially orientated dealers will order a large number of stripper trucks on their floor plan. Generally white, am/fm, steel 17" wheels, rubber floors, mix of regular and crew cab long beds. They usually have all the important options...tow package, plow prep, roof lights, LSD/lockers, 4.10's, fluid coolers, ect. End of model year is always best for deals. Even if you can't find a commercially orientated dealer, any Dodge dealer should be able to find exactly what you want and transfer it off another lot. GMC has done it for me several times. They search the national inventory and transfer it in. Sometimes they have to trade a vehicle or two to help balance out their stock.
