Cut outs

I got one on my Dodge Ram after the high flow cat just for the added fun it. I like it when its open. Has a deep "growl" to it. However the motor that opens and closes the butterfly went bad. Bought another one to fix it. I think what happened is the motor doesn't have a stoping point when it closes. Another words if you hold the switch to long to close it the motor will get damaged. Thinking that's what happened but I'm really sure. It just stopped working. The little gears in the motor was shot. Quicktime is the manufacture of my cutout.
I always shut the engine off so I can listen to the cutout motor open and close. Once I hear the motor bind I immediately let off the switch. Opening or closing it.
All and all it's a big hassle. I don't recommend it if you can live without it...lol

There was/is a member on here with a user name of "mop" I believe it was. He had a different type that was way better quality than the Quicktime. They had a exact stopping point opening or closing so there was no guessing on when to let off the switch. I could be wrong but think they was operated by vacuum.
