Watch Out For Falling Iguanas!!!

Reminds of another scary time when I went deer hunting during winter. My friend had a large cabin near a lake (very rough cabin) with a high ceiling where you could see the rafters as you slept. We got there about 11PM and it was very cold/dark. We decided to go straight to bed so we could get up early and go deer hunting, no electricity so just flashlights. We started a fire in the fireplace and hit the sack. Well.....about 1AM I was awakened by a buzzing sound near my head. I had fallen asleep on the couch in the middle of the cabin directly below the peak in the rafters. Anyway this buzzing noise woke me and of course it was dark except for a little glow from the embers in the fireplace. I started to get up to get my flashlight to find the source of the buzzing but as I tried to sit up the buzzing got louder (it was loud and kind of scary). I called out for my friend who woke up and grabbed his flashlight. He shined the light on me and then I really got scared!!! I had fallen asleep directly under (in the rafters) a huge hornets nest. The hornets had been hibernating in the cold weather (they become immobile) but are still alive. As the fireplace had warmed the cabin all the heat rose up and warmed up the bees to the point that they started falling all over me. The buzzing was all the hornets slowly waking up (all over me) as they got warmer. Unfortunately I was covered with angry hornets and wasn't sure what to do??? My friend didn't know what to do either because he didn't want to get stung. I stared as 3 bees sitting on my chest messing with their wings and sharpening their stingers....I freaked out!! They were all over me. I threw the covers off my body and jumped to my feet brushing off as many bees and I could see with the flashlight. As it turns out the hornets hadn't warmed up enough to fly so I was able to escape without being stung. We spent a while killing all the bees that had fallen and waiting for the rest to come down. We finally got back to sleep but I had a hard time settling in again (STARING UP AT THE RAFTERS with the flashlight wondering what was falling next??)
