S6/904 to 360/904 Swap

Hey guys,

I am going to be swapping out my slant 6 and 904 transmission for a 360 paired with a small block la 904 transmission. So here's my question:

Can I reuse the original transmission cross member from the slant 6 setup?

I went from S6/904 to 383/727 trans bolted right up. I used shumaker conversion motor mounts.

All transmission cross members are the same for A-Body's for all transmissions. Some have smaller bolt holes through the frame but that is the only difference besides 73-up use a different rubber mount, but what you have now works just fine.

Did the 225/904 to 318/904 swap, used the Schumacher motor mounts and the factory crossmember. Only took a day to get the old drivetrain out and the new one in.

IMO, get a bigger radiator, upgrade from the 7-1/4 to at least an 8-1/4.
