Lets see your Mini Tub Tailpipes

I am trying to run factory gas tank

Everybody who mini tub their A body.
How did run your tailpipes?

I ran dual 3" pipes on mine with a mini tub and stock tank. The passenger side was much easier, I ended up needing to put a few large dents in the driver side pipe to get it to fit. I'll try to get a picture tonight for you. It more or less goes over the axle, then outboard between the spring and frame, then back inside the frame to clear the rear hanger. Tailpipes are about 2 feet apart in the back.

I'll be following along on this thread as that is the next step in my build. I had a local muffler guy try it several years ago and all it got me was dents in my shocks and two short turn downs. I know it can be done, I've got pictures.

Member VOETOM is coming by this weekend to put my handbuilt mufflers in place so that we can mock up the front pipes. After they are in place, we are going to start planning the tail pipes. The plan involves using 3" dryer duct and expanding foam to build templets. I'll start my own thread and document everything.

Yea I am also interested in how its done. Just moving the springs in makes it hard to run factory style tail pipes. I have a 69 barracuda & the rear valance have cut outs for the tips.

Mini tubs w/ springs moved into the frame rails. I wanted my 3" exhaust to run thru chrome tips, couldn't make it work w/ the tank so mounted a fuel cell in the trunk. Used TTI 3" tail pipes mildly modified to 3" stainless tips. Tight fit but doesn't rub and happy with the way the tips look

Might almost be worth buying a new a body tank so you don't have to worry about that whole explosion thing and narrowing it.
