Who does em Guys for a '69 Swinger? A Nice Custom DASH???
Thanks in Advance! A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
Mitch

The last one I know of that made them was peak dashes which was preceded buy rocky peak or rocky mountain dashes.

YOu could try to get a NOS or used one of these. They are out of business.

There are a couple companies making the later style gauge insert. YOu can modify a 67-69 dash to accommodate these.

One last option I know of is Dakota digital will retrofit your stock gauge cluster. If I were in the predicament of needed a new dash currently I'd go this route. Really you need a shift light, a speedo and oil pressure/water temp. The stock cluster is fine for those.

Redline Gauge Works has carbon fiber and plastic inserts you can buy and make the gauge cluster yourself, or they can do it for you with the gauges you want. Call and talk to Shannon.

Thanks,
Mitch

The silver car dash is a 73 and up dash insert out some junkyard car. I just painted it black and replaced the back panel with aluminum, then dropped in autometer gauges.

The purple car dash is from Peak Dashes. unfortunately they are no longer in business.

Thanks and no problem, figure I'd pass it along, they do alot of custom stuff out of aluminum, will be having them do a few more things a little down the road.

Don't mind at all. It was $600 the gauge pods are cnc. They can make it to any gauge they just need to know which gauges you plan on using.

Yea I'm nosey when it comes to my engines lol plus boost makes things to watch more important.

That's a good price as mine was closer to $700 including the glove box cover. Made by someone on here
and pretty sure mine was the last one he made. Too long ago to remember. Quality was excellent. I also like a lot of gauges to watch.

What methods are used to fab those metal dashes? I can only blow up the images so far on my phone. Are those gauge pods actually tig'd in, or are they pressed sleeves? There's no way those are stamped.

Mine was made to the dash to get the angle right, and yes the its all tig welded aluminum

Likewise. You would need a pretty good sized brake to make your own.

You might have, or I might have, who knows, but I did get one his last ones that someone else had renigged on. Forget all the basics, but he made it to my specs for then. It was going into a 67 Valiant, since sold unfinished, but without the Dakota digital/analog style gauges. Now I'd like to find one of his short versions without the length, just the gauge panel that should just bolt in. I know that he had them, but haven't even seen any of the Peak Dashes in three or four years. I can't remember if I got mine in March of 2014 or 2015. Did most of my dealing with his wife or daughter at the time. Weirdest buying deal that I have ever been involved in. He really was a nice guy, but let the forum guys get the best of him. He took down almost everything that referred to his dashes. It would be nice to have back some of the How To's that were available, then. Too bad.

Yep that’s right I remember now. He was getting a lot of criticisms about that they weren’t perfect enough. I personally thought they were nice but yep “ they” got to him. I never saw what the ***** was about but I liked what he did for mine.

Yup, too bad. He was willing to work with customers on something special. Did you know he was/is an Delta pilot? His sister let slip on one of my telephone calls to him.

I spoke with Mark quite often. Yes he did tell me he was a pilot and in the air quite often. I miss some of the threads but yeah one or two guys ruined it for everyone as he didn't have the time or care to proceed after people bitched.

I remember bugging him to no end to get these dashes made as I knew I wanted one for my Duster.

I have to get over to where the 67 Valiant was and get the gauges and the dash panel. Curious to what ACTUALLY has to be hacked up to make it all fit properly. Same for the heater controls. The gauges that I ordered, then are the Dakota VHX analog style digital gauges, in white. Will look good in my current 69 Valiant, I think. Again, too bad we lost Mark to the perfectionist idiots. I want things right, but one must realize that these were not exactly pristine back in the late 60's. I had a 67 GTX that should have never passed inspection to release. But it came to me. Gaps? You wouldn't believe what they were, but I did love that car, and it was stupid fast.

Anybody have any cantact info for mark? Wouldn’t mind reaching out to him sometime to see if he can build me an insert.
