Stick down sound proofing ,Insulation?

Let's be fair to MrJLR. He says he has used several products, and he thinks Dynamat is the best. I think that's fair. I also appreciate the fact that he avoids using Knockoff products. Nothing wrong with that.

Who isn't being fair? I've used several products too, and looked into several more. I disagree with his assessment. He likes buying brand name products, great. Personally I would rather get more for my money than just the brand name. I've got no problem spending money, but I'm not gonna spend it just to use a big brand name just because. And looking at what dynamat gives you for the money, their products aren't clearly the best anymore. Competition is a good thing, and many of the automotive sound and heat barrier materials out there now compete very well with dynamat. They aren't knock offs, they're competing products and they aren't all the same. Which means in some cases you can get a product that works just as well for less money. That's not cheaping out on a knock off, that's getting the best bang for your buck instead of just throwing money at the big brand name.

He can disagree with my opinion too, that's fine, but he can't pretend I haven't compared the products or that he's the only one that has. He isn't. I've used FatMat in a couple of my cars now, and my Duster has been running around with it in there for a few years now. It works great. My car was much quieter inside with it installed, fewer rattles, less road noise, and less heat from the floor. So, the FatMat did its job and did it well, for less money. I will totally use it again, and I've got several more cars to do.
