Miss Maylene

Right now the only thing holding me up is head selection. So first up my thought,

Hughes EQs Magnum leaving them at the 1.92 valve. Basically this is what hotrod ran in there 400hp 318 build.
$1199 for the heads
$73 to have them clearance the tunnels $143.85 for hardened pushrods
$85.72 if I buy new rockers
So $1501.57 to run Hughes
Hughes does a good job doing a once over on the heads. I’m running a set on my duster and I’ve been impressed with them.

Or

Indy La-X heads same 1.92 valve as Hughes. Only difference is the shaft rockers. To get into those is a bit more money.
$995 for the heads, plus Indiana sales tax.
$449.95 for Mancini 1.6 rockers
$112 for pushrods
Total $1556.95
Local stuff but I’ve heard some bad reviews and terrible customer service. They will be running a special soon cause of there swap meet they do so could get them cheaper.

Or

Someone recommend promaxx aluminum heads. Jegs has them and I’ve heard some really good stuff about them. 2.02 valves already which is nice and the aluminum would be nice to save weight.
$1399.95 for heads
$449.95 for 1.6 rockers
$127 for recommend pushrods
Total $1976.90
Like I said 2.02 calves would be nice the. I can transfer them over to a 340 or 408 build down then road.

Let me know what you guys think.
