So, what's your favorite restaurant chain place to grab a burger?

America has spoken and In & Out is still #1 in customer loyalty - even though it's very much a regional chain that started here in SoCal (and it's still my favorite).
Here are the results of the MSN.com survey that ranked all of the chain restaurants in the USA (just the burger places listed here):

#1 - In & Out
#10 - Wataburger
#17 - Five Guys
#71 - Smashburger
#92 - White Castle
#95 - Rally's
#97 - Wendy's
#103 - Checker's
#110 - Sonic
#111 - Steak 'n Shake
#112 - A&W
#116 - Hardee's
#122 - Burger King
#123 - Carl's Jr.
#124 - Jack In The Box
#125 - Johnny Rockets
#126 - McDonald's

Tommy's

Always like going to the original one on Rampau and Beverly Blvd.

Is there a list or just the clickbait style... see the next picture/place?

126 clicks, yeah that ain't happening. :)

Saw an In-and-Out outside of Dallas whild roadtripping.. Had to stop and try it out. Really good burger. I stop there everytime I pass through..

I'm a big fan of In & Out Burger, sadly, there are none here in Ohio or anyplace close.
Rally's is good, and it's not expensive, but they are few and far between anymore.
I like 5 Guys, but I can't leave the place without leaving $30 when ever I walk in.
I like White Castles too, but I can't stand myself after I have them.:mob:

5 guys make a darn good burger, and the fries are good as well! For a chain, I'd say they're up there! Although, if you're from anywhere near Michigan, nobody can compare to Millers!! @krazykuda

5 Guys, for Me. -- You get enough fries, for one order, to feed the whole family.

I prefer Kitty's damnburguers. They're damn good.

Chain's it would be Carl's Jr. Desert Diamond Casino in Glendale, Arizona has great Burgers. We go gamble once a month just to have one of their Burgers.

My favorite is a local "chain" called Zac's Hamburgers. Family owned with 5 locations around the area. They also do weekly car gatherings where people bring in their old cars to show off. Not like a show with prizes, but they do give discounts to people who bring in the cars.

I did an image of the local one near me after a gathering this past Summer...

We don't have about 9/ 10 the stuff some of you listed/ mentioned. Here locally I'm happy with Carl's Jr, a lot of that is because of the service. There are places I just don't go because of poor service.

I have no taste...lol. I love fast food burgers but most of those aren't around me. So MacDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King... If I want a good burger I'll go to Catsup & Mustard which is not a chain place...lol

In n Out, Tommy's, The Habit (very local but spreading), Whataburger (last week in Phx), Red Robin, JIB after 9pm for the Munchie Meals

There is a chain in the Midwest called Freddy's. Their burgers are to die for. The smash the patties out fairly thin and cook them til they are a bit crispy around the edges. And the fries are always a bit crispy too. I can't stand soggy fries. They also specialize in Frozen yogurt desserts. And, the places are always SPOTLESS. Yummy. Now I am hungry.
5 Guys is good too, but twice as expensive as Freddy's and not as good.
IMHO, White Castle sucks. The buns were absolutely SOAKED with grease. I went there once. I took one bite of the burger, and threw the food away and went somewhere else.

about 7 Dittos there ! You can have Red Robin back.....

Ive been eating In-n-Out forever and its wearing a little thin on me now, 5-Guys with their peanuts and Habit is superb. Whataburger comes around with about 12 different sauces, right? There was a chain in AZ who's burgers were about 8 inches across, cant remember what it was called. In boycotting McD's: that place is only good for coffee and the buck sundaes now. Rallys always has silly cheap deals, like 2 Big Bufords for 3 bucks, love their battered fries. I actually eat at 7-11 the most! Chicken salad sandwiches or beef and bean burritos and an Arizona Ginsing or Black and white Ice tea. Way too conveniant on a 30 minute lunch.

5 Guys is NOT the place for anyone with a peanut allergy.

IIRC, they use peanut oil in the fryers.

Checkers and Rally's are the same and so is Hardees and Carl's Jr.

They should NOT take up 4 slots.

I was not too impressed with either Whataburger or Culvers. Very generic to me.

5 Guys is WAY too greasy, but good if i;m in the mood for that.

About 5 years ago, my family conducted a somewhat scientific study of all the burger joints we could think of.

IIRC we agreed that even though we had different tastes, Steak and Shake was the most highly rated "in common" between us.

We have a local joint called S&L that is hands down way above any other.

Interestingly, I rated Denny's as second.
I never see them involved in any of these surveys, though.

If you haven't tried one, and are a burger connoisseur, you owe it to yourself to do so.
They are big and hand pattied.

After the experiment, I had occasion to try Longhorn's burger and was very impressed with it. Enough so that I'm torn between ordering a steak, or that burger when I'm there.

Burger Chef !!!! Any of you Crusty Old Guys remember them ????
