My name is Cameron. About three years ago my grandfather and I started a plymouth duster restoration. My grandfather was a mopar man to the gills, he restored probably 25 mopar cars and trucks that I can think of. My grandfather passed away two weeks ago and now I am completely up to my head in s***, trying to finish omething we started together. I am completely unqualified for this task, but I have to finish this car for sentimental reasons. I have looked on this thread for a few years but after my grandfather died I realized I would need help and advice from some people who know much more than me. So, I probably will start asking questions that people will wonder how I don't know the answer already. Please guys, take it easy on me haha, thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry for the lose of your grandfather. No one was born knowing it all. Welcome. You ask good questions, you will get MOSTLY good answers!!!!

Welcome in! Sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing. Looks like you have a good start. There's great people on this site, willing to help, and it sounds like you have a great attitude. Ask anything you're unsure of and we'll try and help.

Take care, and good luck with your project!

Welcome! Sorry for your loss. You'll get a lot of help, and many opinions here. Enjoy, many times the trip is better than the destination :)

Welcome Cameron, sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing. Looks like the two of you had a great project on the go, feel free to ask for advise and since there are a ton of great members with a wide range of experience and expertise. If we don't have the answers we may know of a great thread where a member is passing on his or her knowledge that can help you out. Good luck with your build.

Welcome to FABO Cameron.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Take your time and you'll get her done. Ask lots of questions...there are a bunch of knowledgeable folks here who want to help.

Welcome from Fredericksburg, VA. Very sorry to hear about your grandfather. It looks like you guys made a lot of progress on the body. The rest is certainly doable once you get passed that part.

Very sad your grandfather passed, nothing more can be said about the members and helpfulness at FABO, I'm sure you'll get on the right track to finish the project. And rest assured when your on your maiden voyage with it he will be looking down smiling..

Welcome and sorry for your loss, that’s a tough one but you will always have the good memories and finishing the car will be bittersweet....good site with lots of helpful people.

Cameron, I am very sorry for your loss!

You will find that you are infinitely qualified to pick up where you and your grandfather left off. If you have the desire to do it there are folks here who will help talk you through it and you will be so very proud of what you have accomplished.

Cam! Welcome aboard!
Sorry to read about your grand dad.

Don’t worry about nothin on that car. Body work is not my specialty but there are a bunch of body and paint men aboard that I have gotten some help on.

I know a little about engines, suspension and electrical stuff. I’m no master! But if I can help and I see the thread, I’ll throw in my 2 cents.

Just take your time and be confident that you know what you did, your about to do, what you researched before you leap. I’m sure you’ll get some good help here.

Get the body and paint done first. Then your windows, dash, it’ll slowly come together. It is a lengthy process.

Wiring is actually easy. So don’t fret. I know a little but there are some really good fellas here on that subject. For the most part, it’s just easy connections and connectors you pop together and attach.

Sorry for your loss and welcome. Look for a Mopar club in your area and join up with those guys. You may be surprised of the help you may receive there may be some retired guy in that group that would enjoy helping with a project. Plus what you can’t find on FABO (hard not to) you may be able to get help from those guys. Good luck, do a build thread. Will be watching.

Oh hell yea! Why didn’t I think about that. Your local club(s) should be a crazy wealth of info.

That and I just tapped your location. Your a Georgia boy! There is nearly a **** ton of guys from your state and a good number from Tennessee above you. Pfst!!! Your in better shape than you know.

Our club will get together and go to a guys house for the day and help tackle a project. We have had 7 to 10 guys putting suspensions together. Well it was probably more like 2 and 6 or 7 eating and drinking beer.

The car is actually in Western NC. I drive up every weekend to work on it. I really appreciate the support guys. Is the clubs somewhere on here?

No. This is the club. The FABO club.
There a few guys for sure in N.C.!

Haha I see. Sorry for the ignorance. I’ll definitely have to see if there’s someone near me. I’ll buy more beer than someone can drink if it got a few hours of input or help haha.

Welcome from Michigan. Sorry for your loss. My grandfather also got me into Mopar so I understand your commitment. Great people here will help with your questions. Look forward to seeing your project continue.

Cameron.....where in Western NC? If you're not too far away, maybe I could come see you one weekend when you are up working on it. I live pretty close to Asheville.
