Factory tach wiring

I would say that's totally possible. Is the console tach a factory installed piece, or an aftermarket or dealer installed item?

I also wonder if 68-9 are different for some reason. Seems that 67's always have some different applications than their later counterparts. I believe the first year vehicles are more rushed into market, and certainly in the case of 67's, they use more than a few carryover parts from earlier cars, that are then replaced with better engineering as time allows thru the year. Great case in point is the idler arm situation for 67's. Just my onservation, as I have 2 67's!!

The console mounted tach was a factory option for '67 thru '69 Darts. They used the same bezel/housing as the console clocks (Charger) or the console vacuum gauge (Coronet, GTX). Apparently there were very few that came with that option as the riser base/pedestal, to make the housing clear the console top sides for rotational purposes, is hard to find.( I know someone with a 3d printer, so I may have one made.) Up there^^^, I posted a pic of what is supposed to be '67-'69 A-Body console tach harness, which has an approx. 1" grommet on it, presumably to go thru the firewall at a certain location.

Still hoping someone with a Dart can provide a pic of the position of this hole.

Thanks guys for the help so far!
