Project Riddler's Ride - 1976 Plymouth Duster

The engine bay looks great. Are you running manual brakes or Hydroboost? Lack of a brake booster makes a big difference.

I tried to fit a Hydroboost unit but it’s a no go. Just not enough space with the s Hemi.

If you haven't already, you might want to wait a little while before completely installing the rear deck. I've never seen a spray can adhesive that would work with vinyl. If it doesn't stay down, maybe you or Greg can bring it by come spring and I'll put it down with some Landau Top Adhesive. THAT stuff will work, for sure.

The glue I used is a premium glue. I’m pretty sure it’s fine. Plus gravity will keep it down. I’m not sure happy with the small glue spot on got in it. I’m gonna try goo gone again.

The bottom pic makes sense to me, but I don't understand what you were trying to do with the top pic. Was the all thread just being used as a locator, or was that intended to function like the metal shaft in the bottom pic?

The top pic was the pedal I tried to use. An engineer explained to me that the threaded rod was enough. It wasn’t, so we added the 90* piece of metal tohelp support it. That also didn’t work. This why I had a piece made and welded it on. Hopefully it works, which it should, as it’s the same as other guys who’s cars are running.

I just need to support the firewall now.

Nice work, Joe. Gonna bring it out to Woodward this year?

Jay

Woodward? Of course if it’s running. I think Autorama is gonna be out based on the cash flow...

Always next year though.
