IMM Engines 408 build
Thought I would share my 408 build with my fellow mopar maniacs. I have a 03 Dodge Ram regular cab truck with 5.9 magnum engine. Didn't really need to remove the engine but thought I would let Brian at IMM build me a engine that has some balls. He told me that the engine will be making around 425HP with 485TQ. He says that he has had great results with the cam going to be used.
I realize that IMM could build be a fire breathing engine with way more HP and TQ but I don't believe I need to get to wild because this is my daily beater. I do believe it will be a fun truck to drive however.
I was going to let Brian work up a set of heads but then I got to thinking and decided to just let him build me a engine.
The combo will be:
408 9.4 compression
F&B 58mm throttle body
Hughes FI intake
Ford Racing 39lb injectors
Engine Quest heads 2.02/1.60 Ferra valves
PAC beehive springs
Comp chromoly full roller rockers
Ford hardened push rods
.220/.220 550/550 112LSA Comp custom roller cam
Scat forged rods
Scat forged 4.00 stroke crankshaft
Icon 4030 forged pistons (zero decked)
ProSport harmonic balancer (internal)
Hipotek 30% reduction steel billet pulley
High volume oil pump
Flowtech ceramic coated headers
High flow cat
SCT tuner (FlynRyan)
Edge 2400-2600 billet torque converter
4.56 gears with Detroit True Trac locker
