Some quick help needed. Is there any kind of rubber rope or lock strip maybe that is needed in addition to the gasket itself for a 69 fastback barracuda back glass? I removed glass and gasket but had to cut the gasket up to get glass out and just don't remember. I know 67 is different from mine.

As I look at the wife’s ‘67, I used a lacing strip. AKA, lock strip. This thin rubber goes inside the channel of the main gasket to “Lock in” the window.

I do not know about ‘68 & ‘69 models. I can’t find a ‘67 window rubber myself. I’ll score a 69/69 later and use that style trim retaining clips for the trim that needs to be done.

I don't know if all 69 FB Barracudas came with the stainless steel locking strip but mine did. But I do believe they all came that way. So it takes the rubber gasket and the "expensive" stainless trim that locks into clips. The clips are spot welded into the glass gutter/channel.

stainless is just trim over the gasket,, clips are screwed into the window opening on the body. I did the conversion on my 67
To tell you the truth... I don't remember if the "original" clips were spot welded into the gutter or screwed into the gutter. It was years ago when I replaced the rear glass seal. I do know that the replacement clips are screwed into the gutter. In my case, I live in a very humid "sticky" environment so I completely removed the clips (that usually corrode) and had the glass man replace the stainless trim with rubber trim after under coating the gutter. I owned a 67 FB Barracuda in the 70s and found that one of the first places they rust is under the rubber trim (in the glass channel) or under stainless trim. The worst part of the stainless trim is that water/leaves/dirt/etc can get into the gutter (under the trim) and you can't see it. The damp "crap" just sits there and rusts away. So to make sure my Barracuda last forever I removed the clips (usually where the rust begins) and sealed off the whole area. But that just me!!

Majority of the gaskets for 68 and later are 1 piece self locking. One lip folds inside the other. I have seen only 1 rear window gasket on a 68 notchback that did have the separate round rubber locking cord in it. I really can't imagine it being OEM but there were parts shortages in 68. Did they toss a vendor sample in the one build? Who knows. We can't really know what the aftermarket might have produced decades ago either. I know that 2 piece type gasket is a lot more flexible/workable for glass R&R.
If you did cut up a original self locking old hardened rubber gasket to get the glass out without breaking it... I understand. That is the safe way to do it. So buy a new gasket.
Most of us will install the glass from bottom up, gravity being in our favor but... getting the top of this gasket to roll in and lay against the headliner like it should has been a problem in some cases seen here. I submit that this is why the factory service manual states install glass from top down. Good luck with yours

Would anybody have pictures of this all?
I have no clue what I’m about to get into. A heads up would be AWESOOOOOME!

buy the seal and have a glass guy install the window is the best advice I can give. My glass guy was freaking me out the way he was beating the top in, I wouldn't have thought to be that rough with it. He said I've done tons and this is how it's done. I installed the clips first. Since yours is a 69 and you removed the glass you must have the clips in for the trim already.

Good point, I have a 67 so I don't know factory clips. My aftermarkets screwed on. I had a Ford truck and the clips snapped over a permanent pin in the channel. I too had the lower channel rusted away under the rubber. I had to replace most of the lip, sealed it with POR15 and then we shot epoxy primer. Last forever? Hope so,,,we'll see!

67 is the only year that came with the locking rope. 69 & 68 did not

This 69 should have clips attached with screws that fasten a stainless reveal molding, along with the one piece self locking gasket shown in pic above post #9.
