bullshit.... have a mini cooper in the driveway with 110,000 miles on it and the oil has been changed at 10k intervals since day one, had a Toyota echo with 180,000 miles on it when i sold it (girl i sold it to took it well over 200k) with oil changes at 7k since new. then a toyota yaris with 160,000 when we sold it with 7k miles oil changes since new. all ran/run great at those high miles... synthetic oils are awesome these days. hell even conventional oils are aweseom compared to years ago.. efi has so much nicer mixtures over carbs, machining process is light years a head of what it used to be. **** at 10k the oil is barley brown in my honda that has 45k on it now. that runs a semi synthetic oil..
